Tenet Shareholder Committee LLC (“TSC”), is committed to protecting the privacy of users of tenetshareholdercommittee.org, (the "TSC Site"). We intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. As part of the normal operation of the TSC Site, we collect information from you. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the TSC Site, how we collect it, how we use it and the steps we take to protect it. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and when we do, we will post the modified policy on this page. If any changes to this Privacy Policy are significant, then we will also provide a more prominent notice. By submitting information to us or continuing to use the Site after we have posted such modifications, you agree that TSC may use your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

TSC may track the domains from which people visit the TSC Site in order to gain aggregate data that may be analyzed for trends and statistics. Subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy, TSC may use accumulated aggregate data for several purposes including, but not limited to, marketing analysis, evaluation of TSC's services, and business planning.

Currently, TSC uses personal information as a basis for notifications to users, and in order to implement the Terms and Conditions of Use governing the TSC Site (the "Terms"). Generally, the email addresses, and any additional information that a user may choose to post are publicly available on the TSC Site. When users voluntarily and publicly disclose personal information, or otherwise post personal information in conjunction with content subject to a license, such personal information necessarily will be disclosed subject to the terms of the applicable license. An example of such a disclosure includes, but is not limited to, a user's disclosure of personal information as part of a message posted to a public message forum.

The TSC Site allows users to email information to TSC on a confidential basis. TSC will keep the names, email addresses and other personally identifiable information of users who submit information or other Content to the TSC Site by email confidential to the fullest extent permitted by law, but may use the information or Content submitted by that user in accordance with the Terms of Service.

TSC employs "cookies" to provide users with tailored information. A "cookie" is an element of data that a website, when visited by a user, sends to that user's browser which, in turn, may store that element on the user's hard drive or memory. TSC uses cookies to better serve users of the TSC Site. Any cookies sent by TSC will be marked so that they will be accessible only by TSC Site subject to this Privacy Policy. However, at his or her option and at his or her sole expense and responsibility, any user may block or delete our cookies from his or her hard drive. However, by disabling cookies, certain site features and functionality may no longer work properly, or at all.

The TSC Site contain links to other websites that are owned or controlled by unrelated third parties. Please note that the privacy policies of these sites may differ from those of the TSC Site. TSC is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of any linked website. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of any website you may visit.

In order to implement or enforce the Terms, or notify users of notable events regarding the Company (as defined in the Terms) TSC may use user-provided e-mail addresses to contact users on an individual basis. At no time, unless such disclosure is required by law, a governmental agency, or specifically authorized by the user, will TSC disclose individual user personal information to unrelated third parties that is not publicly available.

By default, users will receive certain emails from TSC if they provide their email address to TSC. Users are free at any time to “opt-out" of these messages by visiting this page and following the instructions or by replying to any such message with “remove” or “unsubscribe” in the header or body of that message.

In some cases, users may have the opportunity to use the TSC Site to send electronic mail to another user or email list. In such cases, a user's valid email address and real name will be included with such messages. In order to prevent abuse, users may not opt-out of such a display, but may choose to refrain from using such TSC Site to transmit an email message.

Children Under Age 13
TSC does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under age thirteen. If we discover that we have collected information from users under age 13, for example, if a child sends us an email with a question or comment, we will write back using that email address but we will not keep the email address or use it again.

If a child under age 13 is interested in participating in our organization and communicating with us on an ongoing basis, then we will collect a parent or guardian’s permission by email and confirm that permission by an offline method (such as postal mail, fax or telephone) before resuming ongoing communications with that child. We will never share that child’s personal information with any third parties other than service providers who help us operate and maintain our Site.

To secure site integrity, TSC employs measures, which may include security audits, use of encryption tools and software, and other reasonable security measures and procedures. Internal access to users' private and nonpublic personal information is restricted to site administrators and individuals on a need-to-know basis.

In the event that TSC becomes aware that site security is compromised or nonpublic user information has been disclosed to unrelated third parties as a result of external activity, including but not limited to external security attacks, TSC shall take reasonable measures which it deems appropriate, including but not limited to internal investigation and reporting, and notification to and cooperation with law enforcement authorities, notwithstanding other provisions of this Privacy Policy.

If TSC becomes aware that a user's personal information provided to TSC has been disclosed in a manner not in accordance with this Privacy Policy, TSC shall make reasonable efforts to notify the affected user, as soon as reasonably possible and as permitted by law, of what information has been disclosed, to the extent that TSC knows this information.

While this Privacy Policy expresses TSC's standards for maintenance of private data, it is not in a position to guarantee that the standards will always be met. There may be factors beyond TSC's control that may result in disclosure of data. As a consequence, TSC disclaims any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of private information.

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, be aware that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By using our Site or providing your Personal Information to us, you consent to this transfer and to the collection, storage, processing and use of your Personal Information in the United States. In addition, our service providers may not be located in your geographic area in the U.S.; by providing your Personal Information on the Site, you also consent to the transfer of your data to these service providers.
